Are You Afraid to Give Birth?

If your answer is yes, you're not alone and this is a safe space for you. Fear of the birthing process most times comes from not knowing; not knowing how your body works, not knowing your options and not knowing the full truth.

The truth is: Your body was made to birth your baby naturally!

What Is Natural Birth?

Natural birth is childbirth without routine medical interventions.

Common interventions in the birth space are things like induction, epidurals, membrane sweeps, pitocin and more. All of these interventions have a time and a place to be used if necessary but they are often used routinely, especially in a hospital setting. Routine interventions usually have a higher result in traumatic birth experiences and often lead to c-sections.

Our goal here is to equip you with information and tools to make it through your birth naturally with little to no intervention.

"Fear Has No Place In Your Birth Space"

  • How Fear Affects Labor

Fear creates adrenaline, which produces tension, tension then turns into pain. Once a woman gets stuck in this cycle initiated by fear, her body begins to fight the natural labor process. When feelings of panic are left unchecked, it can make labor that much harder and longer as well as increase the chances of unwanted intervention.

  • The 80% Rule

Birth is said to be 80 % mental and only 20% physical. Even though our bodies are doing most of the work our minds ultimately control us. Whether we make up our minds to win or lose, our bodies will follow suit. It's important to reprogram our thoughts and minds to see and believe the best regarding our birth outcome.

  • How to Remove Fear

Through birth education you can begin to change your thought process, learn the foundational elements of what birth truly is & ultimately remove fear and anxiety surrounding your labor and delivery. Once you're fully educated, it sets the stage for an empowered birth experience. Fear and uncertainty will diminish as you become more prepared and understanding of the birth process.

Benefits of Birth Education:

  • Calms and de-stresses mom and baby

  • Helps reduce the chances of unwanted/unnecessary intervention methods (c-section, induction etc.)

  • Builds mental strength & confidence that transforms mindset, increasing the chances of a healthy pregnancy, delivery and postpartum
